Organized by The Straits Times and presented by the DBS Bank, Singapore Coffee Festival is back for its second year and we have a new home at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Delve in the café culture with Singapore’s most loved cafes and coffee players from around the world. Enjoy your cuppa in specially designed social spaces or with a breath-taking waterfront view; book yourself in for lab sessions to learn more about coffee, treat yourself to retail therapy, all while relaxing to renown local music acts.
Our coffee festival showcases local craftsmanship in specialty coffee, as well as Singapore’s unique and rich kopi heritage. Besides being a one-stop shop for those interested in all things coffee, there will be a wide range of brewed drinks, beans, gadgets and machines available for purchase.Be spoilt for choice with over 100 different exhibitors, including leaders and pioneers in Singapore’s coffee and lifestyle scene, as well as noteworthy international visitors.
A highlight of the festival last year, the Lab Sessions run by Common Man Coffee Roasters, the Straits Times and Bettr Barista were quick sell-outs. Festival go-ers got to pick the brains of Straits Times’ leading columnists across a myriad of topics such as Tips on starting a café and F&B Trends, Taking Instagram-worthy Photos and Selfies, and even Which Local Restaurants Truly Deserve Three Michelin Stars.
Common Man Coffee Roasters brought out the coffee aficionados talking about Fundamental Barista Skills, Fundamentals of Latte Art and for the truly hardcore coffee lovers, Curated Cupping – A Love Affair: H20 and Coffee, which talked about the importance of the kind of water used in coffee.
Bettr Barista teamed up with DBS to create The #LiveBettr Lab, which ran panels and discussions on social enterprise, workshops on chocolate pairings and coffee, and how to become champions.
Watch this space for many more intimate lab sessions this year!
Helmed by Life section of The Straits Times, our music correspondents will curate a line-up of some of Singapore’s hottest local acts as an extension of ST Sessions, a video series of acoustic sessions with local bands.
